After 5 years of
on-going float problems, and 4 trainers (most cost a fortune,
wasted my money, and made the problem worse), Micheal fixed my
warmblood mare after 2 easy lessons. She now loads with ease and
I am so happy to finally be able to show her after such a long
wait and so much frustration! I really thought I would never get
to fulfil my dreams with my horse but Michael has made this
possible, and I am so grateful for this. The way he worked with
her was amazing, and so calm, the techniques made perfect sense!
I have been meaning to write this for quite a while but have
been so busy taking my mare out I haven't had a chance! Thankyou
Micheal so much for all your help!

I have always stuck to the
"conventional" equestrian training methods in the past and had
sent my mare to a few different trainers for lengthy periods
with little improvement. She was always heavy in the hand,
pulling down on the forehand and dead to my leg. She was
fast becoming not very enjoyable to ride. As a big (17.2hh)
young warmblood, she was also pushy and a little naughty on the
ground. In a last ditched attempt to fix all of these things
that no one else had managed to help me do, or to do themselves,
I sent the mare to Micheal. After just two and a half weeks, the
improvement was out of sight. I had tears in my eyes the first
time I rode her when I got her home as it was like riding a
different horse that didn't pull, who was soft and wanting to
carry herself and was just a whole lot more cooperative. I now
practice the exercises that Micheal taught me each day to help
to strengthen and soften her. Last weekend I took the mare went
to Berrima One Day Event and won the dressage (and
eventually finished 3rd after some time faults cross country) I
will definitely continue to work with Michael in the future and
would recommend his training
methods to everyone.

In 2006 I
had a young horse that needed to be put under saddle and I set
about finding the trainer I felt to be the right person for both
me and my horse. After asking a number of people who they would
recommend and visiting a couple of trainers, I chose Micheal.
From the very start I knew Micheal was the horseman I wanted
working with my young horse.
Since then my horse and I have continued working with Micheal in
developing both our abilities. To date I have a horse that is
athletic, genuinely soft and continually teachable. In the few
years I have worked with Micheal I have gained more knowledge
and “feel” for a horse than in my prior 30 years of riding. I
continue to be impressed by his ongoing passion and desire for
knowledge in the understanding and training of horses.
Most importantly for me is that I have a partnership with my
horse that I truly enjoy and, with thanks to Micheal’s ongoing
support and guidance, a solid foundation on which to build a
diverse and productive future.

What can I say that hasn't been said already! The calm
confidence that Michael exudes is picked up by both horse and
rider. Questions I have had in the past are finally answered.
Michaels' logical view and being able to think outside the box,
make you want to learn more. My horse has never been so soft,
light and responsive. Michael has been born with a gift and we
are very lucky that he is so willing to share it with us. After
a lesson my horse inches closer to Michael just so that he can
have a pat, clearly showing that he appreciates they way Michael
respects and understands him. I look forward to each and every
lesson.

We just
have participated in our 3rd clinic with Micheal. The results we
are getting through Micheal's unique approach to horsemanship is
outstanding. We put our mare into a Float Training clinic as she
is a very anxious traveller.... what took 8 burly cowboys 4
hours and lots of sweat to do, took Michael a mere 35 minutes to
teach her to load up with ease and confidence. The results were
amazing and now we can put her on anytime without needing an
entourage! The calm and consistent approach Michael has is so
good for the horse, that each time we work with him, we take
less time to get more results, without anxiety, stress or
pressure, as his methods just simply work! We will continue to
work towards a common goal of having all round healthy, happy
and confident horse that is a pleasure to ride and own! Thanks
Micheal!

I sent one
of my mare's to Michael for training and was amazed at how much
she improved in 4 weeks. She had been stiff and heavy in front
at home and I had hit a brick wall. Every thing he taught me
made sense and it really works, She now carries herself and has
not tied up once since coming home. I feel I can continue now
and improve her and my riding as a result. Zena loves the new
workout and I'm happy because I have my horse back. We had a
clinic this month at Crookwell with Michael and have had really
good feedback. I will adapt Michael's techniques with all my
horses now.

I first met Michael
through my husband who was already having lessons. I had a
reached a point with my horse where I no longer wanted to ride,
my horse had no respect for me and had become so sour that he
was difficult to handle and a nightmare to take out.
During my first
lesson I told Michael that if he couldn’t fix the horse then he
could have him for $200. After the initial few lessons, I
realized that the methods that my previous trainer were teaching
me were stopping my horse from moving freely and in the way that
he should, which most likely caused a lot of the problems we
were experiencing. Michael also showed me some very simple
techniques to help build a relationship or trust and
understanding between myself and my horse.
I have now been
working with Michael for about 3 months now and the changes in
my horse a nothing short of astounding. I now love riding again
and feel so much more confident in my ability to communicate
with my horse. Showing has now become a fun day out compared to
the nerve racking ordeal it once was.
